Steve an exceptionally talented bladesmith, studied at Munson Williams Proctor Institute in Utica NY and at the Bill Molan School of Bladesmithing. He is a 2002 Graduate of the Maine College of Art (MECA). Currently he is a full time bench jeweler and works in his own studio where he makes brand forged knives, jewelry and other functional pieces. His work focuses on design and technical issues.
Steve enjoys the challenge of incorporating exotic materials, natural and man-made, as well as all types of metals. Steve also teaches at MECA and at Nielsen Smith Metalworks.
His art has been published by Larkbooks in ”1000 Rings and The Art and Craft of Making Jewelry”. |
